Privacy policy

This policy describes Google user data handling by Cue Trader Automation, a personal-use stock analysis and archiving tool operated by Hao Qi. It applies to this app and its informational website.

Purpose and account access

The app is used only with the operator’s own Google account. It generates stock analysis files and archives them to a configured Google Drive destination. Visitors cannot register or connect a Google account on this website.

Google data accessed and used

The archive workflow uses Google OAuth authorization to obtain access tokens. It reads destination-folder and file metadata, including names, identifiers, file types, sizes, checksums, links, and folder write capabilities. It finds or creates archive folders and creates or updates generated analysis files and receipts.

These operations organize generated charts, JSON and CSV analysis, manifests, interactive HTML views, and receipts by ticker and analysis run, avoid unnecessary duplicate uploads, and verify saved files. The inspected archive workflow does not download the contents of unrelated existing Drive documents. The permissions shown on Google’s consent screen determine the access granted.

Processing, storage, and service providers

GitHub Actions runs the analysis and archive workflow. Generated files and save-status receipts are stored as GitHub Actions artifacts with a configured retention of 30 days. Verified archive files and receipts are stored in the operator’s Google Drive. Receipts include analysis provenance, file metadata, and Drive links.

Google OAuth client credentials and the refresh token are stored as GitHub Actions secrets. Access tokens are used at runtime to authenticate Google API requests. Google and GitHub process information necessary to provide their authentication, workflow, storage, and logging services.

Sharing and permitted use

Google user data is used to perform and verify the requested archiving operations. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. This public website does not display Drive archives or authorization credentials. Drive and repository access remain subject to their respective sharing settings.

Cue Trader Automation’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Drive archives remain until the operator deletes them. GitHub Actions artifacts expire under the configured 30-day retention setting; workflow logs are subject to repository retention settings. Deleting a Drive archive does not automatically delete GitHub artifacts or logs.

The operator can delete archive files in Drive and artifacts or workflow runs in GitHub. To stop future archiving, disable the archive workflow or remove its credentials. Remove stored OAuth credentials from GitHub Actions secrets when they are no longer needed.

Revoking Google access

Access can be revoked through Google Account third-party connections by removing Cue Trader Automation’s access. Revocation prevents future authorized requests but does not delete files already saved in Drive or GitHub.

Website data and security

This informational site has no registration, data-entry forms, or app-added analytics or advertising scripts. Its hosting provider may process request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the website. Clicking a contact link opens your email application.

The workflow uses HTTPS for Google API requests and GitHub Actions secrets for stored credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.
